13. JOBS AND CAREERS

A. Look at the photos and discuss thesed question:

what would you enjoy about each of the jobs? they are interesting, because they know different people, and anjoy the jobs.

what would you dislike about each job?  the flighattendent why? is so difficult because they be alone for long time

what are the most importan things for you in your work? satisfaction in the job and earning of money.

12. PROCESSES AND OPERATIONS

EXERCISE A: Look at the pictures and discuss these questions:

1.    What are the products shown in the photos? Photocopier machine, control machine, cassette.

2.    Which of these products do you know how to use? Photocopier machine.

3.    Could you give someone else instructions on how to use it? Yes, The copier is turned on the green button, then place the paper and to initiate and begins to  copy the role

12.2 what do i have to do?? 

EXPLAIN A PROCEDURE
. First placed the cell phone battery,
. The next after charging for 8 hours
. After the phone is turned on, is activated with the hours and days
. Finally used to make calls, send messages, or connect to a page on the Internet.


EXERCISE D
WORK IN GROUPS: DISCUSS WHETER WHAT YOU READ ABOUT IN C, REPRESENTS THE FUTURE FOR ALL MANUFACTURINS PROCESS, CONSIDERING THESE QUESTIONS.

1.What advantages and disadvantages do you see with the introduction of more automated plants? you can find efficient and earn more time, but the disadvantages are more expensive and they are a lot of employees.
2.Can you agree on areas where you think it is a good idea to use them?
Yes, packaging, mixing.
3.What will industrial workers then do? in a market in this moment, but then i have  to change the work.
4.What do you think about training people to work in such plants?  I think is a good idea because you need to train to use the machines
5.Who decides what should be made? What is your opinion of this? I dont know, i think is a good idea
6. What are the advantages of manufacturing processes where only one person is needed The company has fewer problems
 7. What prospects do you see for the spreading of such operations and processes in your country? The employees in charge the system will be selected the production

11.1 TAKING PART IN A MEETING

EXERCISE A: Work in pairs look at the photos and discuss these questions.


1. What seems to be happening in each photo? I think that they are in a meeting.


2. What do you think the people migth be talking about? It is probably to talk about a business. 


3. Which of these meetings would you feel most comfortable taking part in?
 In the photo 3, because they looks more comfortable, and  they are talking face to face. 


4.  Which of them is most unlike the meetings you have attended? Why is this the case? The photo number 2 because they are distracted,  each person doing different things.


5.  How long do you spend in meetings in an average week? From one to two hours in a average.
